Priority Border Crossing for AEO and T1: Analysis of the New eQueue Mechanism

       From 17 July 2026 testing of the new priority allocation mechanism for goods vehicles in the ‘eCherga’ system will begin.

       From now on, companies holding the status of an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), as well as cargo transported under T1 transit declarations (NCTS), receive official priority when crossing the Ukrainian state border.

       How does the new eQueue priority mechanism work?

       The new system is designed to accelerate freight traffic and will apply at all relevant border crossing points.

       Vehicle processing will follow a clear algorithm:

       3:5 Priority Ratio. Border authorities will allow the passage of three priority vehicles after every five trucks waiting in the general queue.

       This means that companies with AEO authorization and businesses using T1 (NCTS) transit declarations gain a substantial competitive advantage by significantly reducing waiting times at the border.
